Dr. Sauter is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and received his Master of Dental Science from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Sauter has been practicing orthodontics since 1972.

Dr. Sauter is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is also a member of The American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics, California State Society of Orthodontics and Newport Harbor Academy of Dentistry.

Dr. Sauter has three children and three grandchildren. In his leisure time he enjoys coaching youth soccer. Dr. Sauter also plays golf and does aerobic exercises on a regular basis.
